NOTCHES is seeking a layout editor to join our team. NOTCHES is an all-volunteer operation, but we hope that working with us provides a valuable opportunity to build skills in public and digital history, and to build professional networks. For this reason we anticipate only a minimal workload.

Applicants should send a letter of interest and a brief CV (no more than 2 pages in total) to notchesblog@gmail.com by 1 March 2024. We envisage that applicants will be currently undertaking, or will have completed, relevant postgraduate study, but are happy to receive applications from candidates who are currently employed outside of academia, and from anywhere in the world. We are looking for candidates who can contribute approximately 2-3 hours maximum per week, and who are able to commit to the role for at least one year. This is a remote position.

Layout Editor

The layout editor will work with our editorial team to prepare NOTCHES blog posts for publication. This person should ideally have a keen interest in the history of sexuality, but there are no editorial responsibilities with this position. Applicants must already be familiar with WordPress and basic image editing. For the right candidate, there would also be scope to contribute to NOTCHES as a writer if interested.
